Goodbye to a family icon

Said goodbye to a family icon when I sold my 4WD Trooper today! I bought this vehicle brand new in 1986 (the same year it was declared 4X4 of the Year by Car & Driver Magazine). It was the most dependable vehicle I've ever owned - it logged 325,000 miles and showed no signs of stopping before I let it go for $1,000.00 to a military family with three small kids from Beale Air Force Base this afternoon. This truck has ferried me across marshes, deserts, forests, trails other 4X4's wouldn't get through, and moved me from coast-to-coast (Georgia to California!). It's hunting exploits include pronghorn antelope, multiple deer, and hundreds of ducks, doves, pheasants, quail, geese, grouse, and chukars. It has taken me to trout streams no other 4X4 would have done. It picked up both of my sons from the hospital on the day they were born and ferried them safely home and served my family as daily transport for decades. All in all, it was the best vehicle I've ever owned and I doubt I'll ever get a chance to own something like this again. Thank you, Isuzu motors, for giving me the best value in an automobile I've ever purchased!
