Just completed this particular painting tonight...entitled "Humpback Whale off the coast of Terceira". It is a depiction of a humpback whale breaking the surface of the waters off the coast of the island of Terceira, one of the Azore Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, belonging to Portugal. This particular island is of interest as it is the home of my mother's family, Portuguese immigrants to this country only two generations ago! (Oil on Canvas, 24" x 30").
